CoachServ provides hospital grade sanitizing solution  for all our bus cleaning service.  You can expect the most effective disinfecting and sanitizing in the industry. All our solutions meet the highest CDC standards for fighting the spread of COVID-19 as well as other transmissible diseases.  CoachServ uses the best cleaners against corona virus. We ensure the most effective electro-static application  process which is recommended by medical professionals.  This process uses an electro-static charge maximize the distribution and adhesion of the solution to surfaces, which is 99.9% effective against COVID-19.

Our technicians observe a 3 minute dwell time, which allows the anti-viral agent optimum effectiveness. A secondary application of  99% Isopropyl Alcohol increases the process to 99% elimination of all viral and biological contaminates.

Ultra-Violet treatment is also extremely effective in eliminating virus and bacteria contamination. UV light kills or inactivates microorganisms by disrupting their DNA and replication. Recent studies have demonstrated the efficacy of UV as a disinfectant against coronaviruses, including MHV and MERS-CoV, COVID-19 and that UV light can be used to disinfect surfaces against contamination with the influenza virus.

CoachServ offers UV light treatment for electrical and driver control surfaces which cannot be decontaminated with liquid or vapor disinfectants.

UV Light Disinfecting

Recent studies confirm that SARS-CoV-2 is one of the viruses, along with other types of coronaviruses, that can be killed by ultraviolet (UV) light rays.

Actually, we’ve known that UV light kills a lot of different germs since the late 1800s, when scientists discovered that shorter wavelengths of ultraviolet light rays emitted by the sun — what we now call ultraviolet C rays or “UV-C” light — could kill bacteria. And unlike the longer wavelengths of the sun’s UV light, UV-C rays don’t naturally hit Earth’s surface, so they’re particularly lethal for microbes that haven’t had a chance to adapt to them.

Since then, UV-C technology has been used for sanitation. Hospitals and water treatment plants, for example, rely on the rays to kill mold, viruses and bacteria. And with the promising research into COVID-19-killing potential, UV-C light-emitting machines are being utilized more.

And the technology is making its way into the transportation culture as well, with hand-held UV-C lamps.  They have been proven to be extremely effective controlling the spread of COVID-19 on buses and motor-coaches.

Anti-Viral Disinfectant

From viruses to bacteria, our lives are filled with exposure to germs. While some of these germs are relatively harmless to people, others, like the novel coronavirus (and COVID-19, the disease it causes that’s currently spreading across the globe), put the transportation industry at serious risk.

Disinfectants differentiate themselves from other cleaning products by killing germs with chemicals rather than removing them. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), disinfectants should be used on high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of diseases.

However, not every disinfectant is made the same. To account for discrepancies, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issues registered lists of antimicrobial products effective against common pathogens. CoachServ only uses products shich have received the EPA’s stamp of approval based on the agency’s Emerging Viral Pathogen program, which requires manufacturers to prove their products are effective against viruses that are even harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2.

Many cleaning products are in high demand right now between flu season, allergies, and the coronavirus outbreak. To save you time hunting down your own supply, we’ve collected the best disinfectants EPA-registered to kill the coronavirus.

Secondary Alcohol Treatment

How does alcohol kill bacteria and viruses?
There a few ways that alcohol can kill bacteria and viruses, the most important one is that they will denature proteins. Other modes of action include having a direct effect on the RNA of the organism, killing the cell through breaking its plasma membrane, cell lysis and interfering with the metabolism of the cell.

All of the types of alcohol will kill most bacteria, including mycobacteria, but is really only effective in concentrations >60%. As stated previously, alcohols will not eliminate spores, which means it is not a good choice when considering disinfection of surfaces contaminated with Clostridium Difficile – a spore forming organism. However, Boyce reports that combining ethyl alcohol with alkali, mineral acids, hydrogen peroxide, or some surfactants can enhance its activity against spores. Alcohol also kills fungi and many viruses.

It has particularly good activity against viruses such as herpes, HIV, Influenza, Hepatitis B&C, but poor activity against Hepatitis A and polio. Alcohol is proven virucidal when it comes to non-enveloped viruses such as Adenovirus, Rhinovirus, Enterovirus and Rotaviruses.

Alcohol has also been shown to be effective in disinfecting surfaces contaminated with pandemic viruses such as Ebola and SARS Coronavirus and has some activity against Norovirus

Electrostatic Disinfecting

Electrostatic spray surface cleaning is the process of spraying an electrostatically charged mist onto surfaces and objects. Electrostatic spray uses a specialized solution that is combined with air and atomized by an electrode inside the sprayer. Subsequently, the spray contains positively charged particles that are able to aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects. Because the particles in the spray are positively charged, they cling to and coat any surface they’re aimed at.

For awkwardly shaped objects or hard to reach places, cleaning staff only have to point and spray; the nature of the mist allows it to coat surfaces evenly, and envelope objects—even if the mist is only sprayed from one side. After the spray is applied, the sanitizing agent works to disinfect the covered surfaces. For this reason, electrostatic spray is an excellent solution for germ and contaminant ridden areas.

How Does Electrostatic Disinfection Work?

Electrostatic spray is electrically charged, allowing the appropriate sanitizers, mold preventatives and disinfectants to wrap around and evenly coat all types of surfaces for a more complete clean. As the chemical exits the electrostatic sprayer, it’s given a positive electrical charge. The droplets then become attracted to all negative surfaces, covering the visible area, underside and backside, with the sanitizing agent. Surfaces that are already covered will repel the spray, making the method extremely efficient.
